Otzar Breslov is a free reference and study tool for the works of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov and related texts. It is available as a website (otzarbreslov.com) and as a mobile app for iPhone and Android. The mobile app simply displays the Otzar Breslov website inside its own screen. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information. In short: we do not collect personal information about you.
None that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and the app contains no advertising and no third-party tracking or analytics.
To make the app useful, some settings are saved only on your own device (using standard local storage) and are never transmitted to us or anyone else. These include your saved favourites and display preferences such as light or dark mode. Removing the app, or clearing its data, deletes them.
The app loads its content live from otzarbreslov.com so you always see the latest material. It briefly checks whether it can reach the site in order to decide whether to show live content or its built-in offline copy. As with visiting any website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information (such as your device's IP address and the time of the request) in its server logs for security and reliability. We do not use this information to identify you.
We rely on a small number of reputable providers to deliver the app:
Otzar Breslov contains religious study material suitable for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
